LOOK: Cubs fan intentionally sunburns himself to have 'W' on his back

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — A diehard Chicago Cubs fan used the opportunity given to him by having a chance to sit in the Wrigley Field bleachers on a sunny afternoon to prove just how deep his Cubs fandom runs. During Friday's game between the Cubs and the San Francisco Giants, cameras caught a shirtless man with a rather interesting suntan in the stands..

Evidently, the fan intentionally sunburned himself by only applying sunscreen in a "W" pattern in the middle of his back. Therefore, while the rest of his back was bright red, a pale "W" was easy to make out. Stylized after the signature "W" flag at Wrigley Field that is associated with the Cubs' home victories, the unburned skin on the man's back symbolized the great lengths that some fans will go to show off the love and support that they have for their favorite teams.
