WATCH: SCHWARBOMB ALERT! Kyle Schwarber goes deep on first pitch of his first at-bat |
CHICAGO — After missing a start the night before due to a knee contusion, Kyle Schwarber returned to the starting lineup with a vengeance on Thursday. Swinging at the first pitch of his first at-bat, Schwarber went deep in the bottom of the second.
Skying an opposite-field "Schwarbomb," the Chicago Cubs slugger hammered a sinker thrown by Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brett Anderson to the opposite field. The 373-footer to left at Wrigley Field marked Schwarber's third dinger of the year. Two of his three round-trippers have come against Brewers left-handers.

I caught my reflection in a spoon while I was eating my cereal, and I remember thinking "wow, you hit baseballs ridiculously far, maybe you could do that for a career." pic.twitter.com/N6qiXiHAYW
