MILWAUKEE — Marking the third home run of the afternoon for the Chicago Cubs, Victor Caratini went yard in the top of the sixth and put the Cubs up 10-3 over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park on Sunday. The 3-run jack marked the first pinch-hit homer of Caratini's career.
Taking advantage of a Cubs challenge overturning an out call in the previous at-bat, Caratini skied the 439-footer with two outs. Caratini's fifth long ball of the season, the 3-run shot came against Brewers reliever Jeremy Jeffress and left the bat at 106 miles per hour.
