Cubs ranked #1 in ESPN's Power Rankings

The Chicago Cubs are off to a blistering 5-1 despite yet playing a home game at iconic Wrigley Field.

ESPN released its MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Cubs are on top at the #1 spot and a have a projected record of 94-68 and a first-place finish in the NL Central.

"MLB's third-youngest lineup made the 2015 National League Championship Series, then added Jason Heyward, John Lackey and Ben Zobrist," ESPN's Jesse Rogers said. "Those former All-Stars join a dugout that includes the NL Manager of the Year (Joe Maddon), Rookie of the Year (Kris Bryant), Cy Young winner (Jake Arrieta) and the franchise's all-time postseason home run leader (Kyle Schwarber)."

The Cubs World Series odds are placed at 4-1 by various Las Vegas Sportsbooks.

The top 10 teams in ESPN's MLB rankings were the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
