Cubs veteran pitcher Jon Lester went 5.2 innings giving up six hits, three runs, three walks, and seven strikeouts in the Cubs 6-0 loss in Game 1 of the World Series against the Indians.

Lester was disappointed with his performance in the Cubs first World Series game since 1945 and decided to tweet about it on Wednesday afternoon.

"Wasnt able to locate my fastball the way I wanted to & it cost us. I know @JArrieta34 is gonna pick me up & shove it tonight," Lester tweeted. #NVRQT #LetsGo

Lester was 19-5 with 2.44 ERA with 197 strikeouts and a 1.02 WHIP this regular season. In three previous postseason starts in 21 innings, he gave up only 14 hits, two runs, two walks, and 14 strikeouts going 2-0.

The last two seasons after a Cubs loss, Arrieta is 17-4 with a 2.58 ERA.
