Chicago Cubs pitcher Travis Wood got three straight batters to popups to get out of a base-loaded jam with no outs in the bottom of the 12th inning.

“Throw strikes because there’s no place for anyone to go,” Wood said via ESPN.com. “It’s either going to be your night or his. Fortunately, it went our way.”

In the 13th inning, Wood also drove in the winning run with a walk in the Cubs 2-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. He was the first Cubs pitcher to draw an extra-inning walk since Matt Karchner, April 9, 2000.
