The Chicago Bears announced that they have signed former Colts linebacker Matthew Adams to a one-year deal on Friday night.

Adams has spent the last four seasons with the Colts and been coached by Bears head coach Matt Eberflus, so they are very comfortable and know him well.

Overall in 58 games, including nine starts, he had 55 tackles and six tackles for loss.

He was a seventh-round pick by the Colts in the 2018 draft out of Houston.

Another low-cost pickup by the Bears as they got a quality depth piece and someone that excels in special teams.
