Cubs lineup vs. Brewers, Lackey starting

The Chicago Cubs (77-63) will battle the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05 PM CDT on Friday night televised on WGN-TV. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the rival Cardinals by five games in the National League Central division.

The North Siders are currently 7-3 in their last ten games and 34-18 since the All-Star break which is tied with the Nationals for the second best record in baseball.

Veteran righty John Lackey will start for the defending World Champions opposed by righty Jimmy Nelson.

Lackey has been an impressive 3-0 with a 2.48 ERA in his last five starts and 9-1 in his last 10 games.
