Hall-of-Famer and former Cubs left fielder Billy Williams will attend the Cubs upcoming White House visit on Monday. Recently, he had to cancel because of another obligation but now will be going with the rest of the Cubs.

"Going to see Obama, who is the first black president, and celebrating Martin Luther King's birthday -- it'll be perfect for me," Williams said to reporters on Saturday at the Cubs Convention.

Williams has been to the White House several times but this occasion will be very special to him.

"Seeing the first black president and celebrating Martin Luther King and celebrating the World Series -- I've gone to see the statue [of King] in Washington and it's huge, it's magnificent. These are exciting times."
