Milwaukee Brewers star outfielder Christian Yelich has tested positive for COVID-19.

He is currently quarantined after showing mild symptoms despite being fully vaccinated. The ballclub announced ahead of Tuesday night's game that he was placed on the COVID-19 IL.

“He has mild symptoms," Brewers president David Stearns told the media Tuesday. "He’s in good spirits. He’s resting. It is certainly our hope he can knock this out quickly."

Yelich will be out for a minimum of 10 days.

He is batting .235 with six homers and 28 RBIs this season.
