Cubs News: Home plate umpire announced for NLCS Game 1

Major League baseball announced on Friday the home plate umpire for game one of the National League Championship series with Paul Nauert behind the plate.

Nauert has worked the Division series in 2004, 2008, 2010, 2013, and 2014. He also worked the All-Star game in 2009.

1B umpire: Eric Cooper

2B umpire: Gary Cederstrom

3B umpire: Angel Hernandez

LF umpire: Alfonso Marquez

RF umpire: Ted Barrett

Replay: Bill Welke

Cubs veteran pitcher Jon Lester is 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA in his career with Nauert umpiring.

For his career, Lester has an impressive 2.63 ERA with seven wins in the postseason.
