Cubs News: Kyle Hendricks injury update |
Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks was throwing in front of assistant trainer Ed Halbur and Dr. Stephen Gryzlo during pregame of game four of the National League Division Series on Tuesday.
“Good to go,” Hendricks said to reporters on the field. “Perfect.” Hendricks appears to be ready to pitch if needed in an emergency situation. Hendricks left the game in the fourth inning of game two against the Giants after getting hit by a ball by Angel Pagan in the right forearm. When Hendricks was warming up trying to stay in the game, his arm started to tighten up, and the Cubs decided to remove him from the game after only 53 pitches. He finished the season with the National League ERA Crown with a 2.13 ERA.
