Chicago Mayor Lightfoot announced on Tuesday that Gallagher Way at Wrigley Field will be utilized as a new vaccination site.

“We are making progress toward our goal of vaccinating all Chicagoans, and we are very pleased to partner with Chicago State University, the Chicago Cubs and Advocate Aurora Health to bring lifesaving vaccines to our communities,” said Mayor Lightfoot. “While the list of those eligible for the vaccine expands, vaccine supply and appointments are still limited and patience will be key.”

The vaccine site at Gallagher Way will be run by Advocate Aurora Health and will be able to do around 2,000 doses a day.

It is currently by appointment only.

Another new mass vaccination site will be at Chicago State University and will be run by the Chicago Department of Public Health.

On Tuesday, there were 2,404 new cases of COVID-19 and 17 deaths in Chicago.
