Cubs News: Miguel Montero set to begin rehab assignment

Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Montero is set to be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday and is expected to join the Iowa Cubs for a four-game rehab assignment against the Nashville Sounds according to multiple reports.

Montero has been on the disabled list since April 28 with lower back tightness.

For the season, Montero was hitting .208 (10 for 48) with three doubles, a homer, and six RBIs in 13 games. He is a career .261 hitter with 113-lifetime homers.
