Iowa outfielder Ryan Kalish was placed on the 7-day disabled list for appendicitis according to multiple reports.
In 2016 with the Cubs, Kalish had seven at-bats with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored. Outfielder Matt Murton was activated from the disabled list from a past oblique injury prior to Thursday's game in Tacoma. For his MLB career, Murton is batting .286 with 29 homers and 112 RBIs. In 11 games this season, Murton is batting .260 with a double and a .584 OPS with the Iowa Cubs.
