MLB might start extra innings with runner on second base

Major League Baseball is considering a rule change that would put a base runner on second base in extra innings according to MLB Insider Jeff Passan.

This ridiculous rule change will be used for the World Baseball Class next month hoping to speed up games that last several hours.

“It’s not fun to watch when you go through your whole pitching staff and wind up bringing a utility infielder in to pitch,” Joe Torre told Yahoo's Passan. “As much as it’s nice to talk about being at an 18-inning game, it takes time.”

Hopefully, this idea will not be implemented as this would totally change the game of baseball.
