Report: Kyle Schwarber signs with Phillies

No reunion with the Cubs.

Former Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber has agreed to a four-year deal with an AAV right under $20 million per season with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday morning.

The deal is pending a physical.

In 2021, 'Schwarbs' hit .266 with 32 homers and 71 RBIs with stints with the Nationals and Red Sox.

The Cubs were reportedly in the mix for Schwarber's services but that came to a close likely after the ballclub signed Japanese star Seiya Suzuki to a five-year deal to roam the outfield.
