SAN FRANCISCO — Marking the Chicago Cubs' third home run of the game, Cubs center fielder Albert Almora Jr. skied a dinger just over the left-field wall at Oracle Park on Wednesday. Coming in the top of the fourth, the solo shot put the Cubs up 4-1 over the San Francisco Giants.
Almora's 10th homer of the year, the round-tripper sailed 389 feet out to left after getting scorched off the bat at 107 miles per hour. Giants starter Tyler Beede gave up his third jack of the afternoon on the play, with Almora taking Beede deep on a four-seam fastball. .@albertalmora extends our lead with his 10th homer!#EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/S0CsOzf4Hx
