CHICAGO — Making perfect contact on a changeup thrown by New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo tallied an RBI on a liner that drilled the wall in left-center at Wrigley Field on Sunday. With the Cubs trailing the Mets 3-1, Rizzo cut Chicago's deficit in half with the RBI line drive in the bottom of the fifth.

Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, who hit a ground-rule double in the previous at-bat, scored from second base on the 2-out hit. The single gave Rizzo his 54th RBI of the season, but it ended in Rizzo getting gunned down at second while attempting to stretch the hit into a double. Regardless, the 2-out base knock plated a run and made the score 3-2.
