The heart and soul of the Chicago Cubs is certainly Anthony Rizzo.

The first baseman is beloved by the city of Chicago and the majority of fans that follow the Cubbies.

The Cubs released a short video featuring Rizzo on Friday night of him talking to the fans about how much he missed them during this on-going pandemic and baseball offseason.

"Hey Cubs fans. I just wanna wish everyone a happy new year," he said. "I missed you guys at the ballpark last year. Really looking forward to the next time Wrigley Field is packed on a hot summer day, and it's the Cubs versus the Cardinals. I hope everyone is doing well. Keep pushing. Keep moving along and stay strong."
