WATCH: Contreras smacks homer vs. Kershaw

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras finished off a 12-pitch at-bat against Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw with a solo homer to right field in the second inning to put the Cubs up 1-0. It was Contreras' fifth homer of the season and the last time he homered off of Kershaw was the 2016 NLCS game six win.

The last Cubs player to hit a homer after that many pitches (12) was Mike Fontenot off Dan Haren at Arizona in 2009.
