WATCH: Dansby Swanson makes incredible defensive gem against Brewers

Dansby Swanson is making a great first impression with the Cubs faithful at Wrigley Field.

During Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Swanson showed off his defensive prowess in the fourth inning. With a runner on first base, Brewers' batter William Contreras hit a ground ball deep in the hole between shortstop and third base.

Swanson quickly got to the ball, dove, and while still on his knees, made a quick throw to first base to get Contreras out.

The play was not only impressive, but it also showed Swanson's quick reflexes, his range, and his strong arm. Fans at Wrigley Field erupted with cheers and applause as they witnessed the spectacular defensive play.

Offensively, he has a single and double in two at-bats so far during the contest.

It's still early in the season, but Swanson's first impression with the Cubs has been a great one. If he can continue to make plays like the one he made on Saturday, he will undoubtedly become a fan favorite for years to come. Cubs fans can't wait to see what he does next.
