WATCH: Ed Howard smacks RBI double in Instructional League debut

Cubs 2020 first-round pick Ed Howard is getting to showcase his skills in the Arizona Instructional League.

During Wednesday's game, Howard smacked an RBI double in his first pitch seen in his first at-bat.

Good start for the 18-year-old as he works to progress through the minor league ranks and takes it one day at a time. Hopefully, in a few years, Howard will be a regular playing with the Cubbies.

Obviously, his mom was super excited about his first hit and shared the video on social media.
