CHICAGO — Former Atlanta Braves slugger Jason Heyward went yard against his old club on Monday night, with the Chicago Cubs outfielder slugging a 409-foot solo blast out to right-center. The eighth-inning dinger at Wrigley Field increased the Cubs' lead over the Braves.

Powering out his 11th long ball of the season, Heyward rocketed a curveball thrown by Braves reliever Touki Toussaint 101 miles per hour into the bleachers. Heyward played for the Braves from 2010 to 2014, and, by virtue of his tater, he placed the Braves into an 8-3 hole.
