Javier Baez is a natural left-hander who does everything left-handed outside of swinging a bat and throwing a baseball. However, Baez is capable of batting left-handed, just not at a big-league level, and he proved as much during a 12-5 Cubs victory on Thursday.
When Cincinnati Reds position player Kyle Farmer pitched the ninth inning at Great American Ball Park, Baez opted to give batting left-handed a shot. Although the newfangled switch hitter flied out off Farmer, who pitched very slowly, Baez showcased yet another one of his many talents. .@javy23baez bats left-handed against a position player pitching.
