Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon was ejected after arguing with an umpire when they called a strike when Ben Zobrist got hit by a pitch in the ninth inning.
Maddon ran onto the field and got into a heated argument with the umpire and was ejected. He said this to reporters about the ball call on Zobrist's strike. "I've been playing good in the sandbox," Maddon said. That was wrong. To influence the game like that is wrong." Maddon thinks that he will be fined for his postgame comments.
