WATCH: Rizzo on fan ruining a potential game-ending play

The Chicago Cubs clinched a playoff berth for the fourth straight season last night with the 7-6 win over the Pirates.

However, it got very stressful in the top of the ninth when a Cubs fan blocked Rizzo's glove with his outreached hands on a pop up that could have ended the game.

Rizzo was all class after the game and didn't blame the fan.

"I thought I caught it," he said. It was one of those weird plays. It was a big win for us today. So, that's all I'm really worried about is getting that win and coming back after giving up the lead there. It was a nice win.

Maddon had the following positive take about the incident with the fan.

“But we still won the game. And if you qualify for the playoffs for the fourth year in a row, I think Chicago Cubs fans should be pretty happy about that.”
