WATCH: Russell smacks grand slam in World Series

Cubs shortstop Addison Russell smacked a grand slam to put the Cubs up 7-0 in the third inning in game 6 of the 2016 World Series.

The crushed ball went an estimated 434 feet and had an exit velocity of 108 MPH.

It was the first World Series grand slam in a Game 6 or 7 since Kent Hrbek in 1987 Twins Game 6 against the Cardinals according to ESPN Stats. Overall, it was the first grand slam in the World Series since Paul Konerko in 2005.

It was also the first Cubs grand slam by a Cubs player in World Series history. He is also the fourth player ever with six RBIs in the World Series joining Albert Pujols, Hideki Matsui, and Bobby Richardson.

The 22-year-old shortstop is the second youngest to ever hit a grand slam in a World Series behind only a 21-year Mickey Mantle in 1953.
