CLEVELAND — During the media session in Cleveland ahead of Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game at Progressive Field, several All-Stars fielded questions about the greatness of Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez, who will be making his second consecutive start in the Midsummer Classic. The players were all unified in praising the superstar infielder, including a few members of the rival Milwaukee Brewers.

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor, a close friend of Baez's and, like Baez, a native of Puerto Rico, said that it is always fun to play against "Javy" and added that the unpredictable Baez offers "something crazy every day." Seattle Mariners first baseman Daniel Vogelbach played youth baseball with Baez when they were both high schoolers in Florida, and he claimed that nothing that "El Mago" does surprises him because, in Vogelbach's opinion, Baez "has always been this good."
