CHICAGO — With his sixth home run of the season, Chicago Cubs catcher Victor Caratini tagged Oakland Athletics reliever Blake Treinen for a towering solo blast on Wednesday. The dinger put the Cubs up 10-1 in the bottom of the eighth at Wrigley Field.

Caratini walloped a fastball thrown by Treinen and drove it out beyond straightaway center field for a 2-out jack. The dinger traveled 433 feet after leaving the bat at 105 miles per hour, and it sported a launch angle of 29 degrees.
