CHICAGO — Showing off his cannon for the first time this summer, Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras teamed up with shortstop Javier Baez to out a runner at second base on Sunday. The throw from behind the plate ended the top half of the fourth inning.

With the Cubs leading the rival Chicago White Sox 2-0 at Wrigley Field, Luis Robert of the South Siders attempted to steal second base with two outs. However, Contreras foiled Robert's plan with a rocket of a throw that led to Baez applying a smooth tag like only he can.
