Chicago Sports HQ Podcast: Bears on top, Big Ten football, World Series, Chicago fire

by - Senior Writer -

Today on Chicago Sports HQ Chatter, senior writer Cole and I are football focused as the Bears continue to win by taking over the top spot in the NFC North as well as establishing themselves as true contenders in the NFC.

We look at the rest of the NFC and AFC standings and discuss who we think the best teams are and where the Bears fall.

With BIG 10 football getting underway this weekend, we look at the Illinois vs. Wisconsin and Maryland vs. Northwestern games and what to expect from them not only this weekend but for the entirety of the season.

We open the show by discussing the World Series and who the favorite is at this point along with several rule changes that may stay in effect longer than this season.

To close out the show we briefly discuss the Chicago Fire and their continued push for the final post-season spot. They picked up a tie against a great Kansas City squad last weekend and picked up a point to remain in 10th place.
