On this edition of the Cubs Corner, Anthony welcomed World Series Champion and former Cub Ryan Dempster to the show for the second time to talk about the 2023 Cubs, the playoffs, and the all-important upcoming offseason.

The pair began the conversation by talking about Dempster’s playing career, his time not only with the Cubs but also with the Red Sox, winning the 2013 World Series in his final season.

The two chatted about the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Houston Astros — and how far, or close, the Cubs are to getting to that point.

They also conversed about the Cubs collapse and why it may happen — and what the Cubs may do this winter to avoid missing the playoffs.

Plus, Dempster gave his prediction on where Cody Bellinger, Juan Soto, and Pete Alonso will end up on Opening Day 2024.
