by - Senior Editor -

ESPN has released his latest MLB Power Rankings and the Cubs are on top at the #1 spot with a 69-41 record and currently sitting in first-place in the NL Central with an impressive 11 game lead over their rival St. Louis Cardinals.

"It's now three straight weeks at No. 1 for the Chicago Cubs since regaining the top spot in our rankings," ESPN said. "They might not be on a record winning pace anymore, but the Cubs have won 10 of their past 11 games and were the unanimous pick at No. 1. The Cubs have been No. 1 for 17 of 19 weeks, including the preseason."

The top 10 teams in ESPN's MLB rankings were the Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Other National League Central team rankings included the St. Louis Cardinals (#11), Pittsburgh Pirates (#15), Milwaukee Brewers (#22), and Cincinnati Reds (#28).
