
Cubs activate David Bote from Paternity list, option reliever |
CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today activated infielder
David Bote off of the paternity list. Right-handed pitcher
Alec Mills was optioned to Triple-A Iowa following last night’s game. Bote will be available for the Cubs tonight when they continue their three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field.
Bote, 26, is batting .295 (13-for-44) with four doubles, one home run and nine RBI in 19 games with the Cubs this season. He missed only yesterday’s 7-2 win vs. the Dodgers. Mills, 27, did not appear in a game during his stint with the Cubs (April 21-23). He has made one start for Iowa this year, allowing one run in 4.0 innings and recording a no-decision on April 17 at New Orleans. The #Cubs today activated INF David Bote off of the paternity list.
