The Professor is back in session.

The Cubs announced that starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks is healthy recovering from his right shoulder inflammation and will return to the rotation Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

"He's doing really well and he's feeling really good," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said recently.

For the season, Hendricks has a 7-5 record with a 3.36 ERA and 1.14 WHIP.

With Hendrick's return, Tyler Chatwood will now be moved back to the bullpen as a long reliever.

On Monday, rookie pitcher Adbert Alzolay will start against the Pirates.
