Cubs signing lefty reliever Daniel Norris

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Cubs are signing lefty reliever Daniel Norris to a one-year deal worth $1.75 million with an additional $2 million in incentives.

Norris had a 6.16 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 57 innings last season splitting his time between the Tigers and Brewers.

In 2020, he was much better with a 3.25 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 14 appearances.

Overall, he has a career 4.65 ERA over eight seasons.

The Cubs have been busy stockpiling arms as they recently signed righty reliever David Robertson and lefty Steven Brault.
