Cubs News: Javy Baez gets COVID-19 vaccine: "People should try it"

by - Senior Editor -

There is some return to normalcy to our country as people are getting the COVID-19 vaccine in the last few months.

Major League baseball players are now starting to get their shots and Javy Baez is one of those that got vaccinated recently.

Baez spoke to the media Monday and hopes that people get vaccinated so the contagious virus will not harm them.

“I think a lot of people should try it,” Baez said. “And obviously, we want the best for everybody.”

Cubs players are encouraged to get the vaccine, but it is a personal choice for them and their families.

"Everybody has different thoughts and feelings on it,” Ross said Monday to the media. “We're trying to give as much education as we can.”

“Some guys have gotten it and are well on their way,” Ross said, “and some guys are still trying to gather the information and make the decision for themselves.”

Heyward recently said he is one of the players that is still debating on the vaccine and doing his research.
