Joe Buck to return to announcing for Cubs-Cardinals

by - Senior Editor -

Long-time announcer Joe Buck is ready to get back in the announcer's booth.

The 50-year-old will return to Fox Sports One play-by-play announcing on Saturday for the rivalry game of the Cubs-Cardinals at Wrigley Field. This will be Buck's first broadcast since he announced the NFC Championship game back in January.

Buck took some time off to spend some quality time with his family.

“I can’t wait for the game, I can’t wait to get back,” Buck told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I think I’ve seen and done enough (baseball broadcasting) that I remember how it goes.”

Cubs fans are not the fondest of Buck so they probably won't be tuning into the FS1 station to hear his version of the call.

Len Kasper and Jim Deshaies will also be doing the baseball broadcast via WGN Saturday.
