Cubs News: Jon Lester scratched for Wednesday's game |
Big Jon is out.
Veteran lefty Jon Lester is ill with bronchitis and has been scratched for Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Longman Tyler Chatwood will replace him on the mound today. Chatwood warmed up in the 13th inning in the Cubs loss but hopefully, he will have a lot left in the tank for his start. Chatty was held back yesterday as Lester came to the ballpark very sick with a fever. Reportedly, Lester feels much worse today and will have to be skipped in the rotation.
