The Chicago Cubs have certainly had their fair share of outfielder injuries recently.

To combat the lack of depth, the ball club has traded for outfielder Trayce Thompson from the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash considerations on Tuesday according to Iowa Cubs beat writer Tommy Birch.

Thompson has a famous brother who is sharpshootinger Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors.

Trayce will be added to the Iowa Cubs roster tonight.

For his MLB career, he is a .206 hitter with 22 homers and 59 RBIs.
