Cubs dropped a heartbreaker 6-5 to the Angels at Wrigley Field on Saturday.
Outfielder Kyle Schwarber was rung up on a questionable strikeout call to end the game, and Schwarber charged the third base umpire in his disgust.
Schwarber spoke with the media following the game and said that he still believes it was a bad call.
"Yea I took a look at it," he said. "If I didn't go the first time, I didn't go the second time. If you are not 100 percent, you can't call it. Obviously, I was frustrated. Whose not going to be frustrated when they end the game like that. You are that close to sniffing out a run. It was just frustrating. I just don't think that it was a good call."
"I just didn't like the way it ended. Grinding out an at-bat against that guy. It's a big situation right there and worked him and got in a hitter's count and spit some pitches and then you gotta battle against him. I thought I didn't go and he thought I did."
"I was a little hot. Able to calm down now, but I wasn't the happiest person in the world."
