Cubs News: Vote for Anthony Rizzo to win 2018 Platinum Award

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo won his second Rawlings Gold Glove award on Sunday night. He is the third first baseman in Cubs history to win the award alongside 4-time winner Mark Grace and 2-time winner Derrek Lee.

For 2018, Rizzo hit .283 with 25 homers, 101 RBIs, and had a .376 on-base percentage. Defensively, he had 1287 total chances, 1133 putouts, 147 assists, and only seven errors for a fielding percentage of .995.

In 2016, he won the Gold Glove award and the prestigious Platinum Glove Award. The Platinum version is an award voted on by the fans to pick the best defensive player among all the season's Gold Glove Award winners. Fans can only select one player among the winners from each league.
