CHICAGO — With one of the best catches of his career, Chicago Cubs center fielder Albert Almora Jr. pulled off an insane sliding catch in the top of the first on Tuesday. Robbing Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto of a hit, Almora went all out on the special web gem.

Votto skied a towering shot to deep center field, and Almora was able to track it down and slide on the warning track while securing the spectacular catch. The slide prevented Almora from crashing into the Wrigley Field wall, but it added to the difficulty of the snag. Almora was not fazed, however, as he made the overhead grab and was fired up after doing so.
