Ian Happ flied out on the opening pitch, Rizzo went yard in the top of the first.
Reds righty Tyler Mahle gave up the solo dinger on a four-seamer. Rizzo smoked the pitch 102 mph out to right at Great American Ball Park, putting Chicago ahead 1-0.
