On a foggy Wednesday night at Wrigley Field, Chicago Cubs infielder David Bote broke a scoreless tie with a 3-run blast in the bottom of the fifth. Coming with two outs, the clutch dinger sailed 410 feet out to left-center to give Bote his seventh long ball of the year and put the Cubs up 3-0 over the Colorado Rockies.

Swinging at the first pitch thrown to him by Rockies starter German Marquez, Bote, who started at second base on the night, hammered a no-doubter that left the bat at 110 miles per hour. Slicing through the thick fog, the homer carried into the seats in a hurry, plating catcher Willson Contreras and center fielder Jason Heyward.
