MIAMI — Coming up clutch, Chicago Cubs first baseman Frank Schwindel slugged a bases-clearing double with two outs in the top of the eighth on Saturday. The three-run two-bagger provided the Cubs with a 4-3 lead atop the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park.

Schwindel's go-ahead double was hit off reliever Dylan Floro, as Schwindel smacked a breaking ball past third baseman Brian Anderson and down the left field line. Right fielder Johneshwy Fargas, pinch hitter Matt Duffy and center fielder Rafael Ortega scored as a result, increasing Schwindel's RBI total to 15.
