WATCH: Highlights from Cubs' intense extra-inning affair with Giants

by - Senior Writer -

SAN FRANCISCO — Lasting 13 innings, Tuesday night's contest at Oracle Park between the Chicago Cubs (54-47) and the San Francisco Giants (52-50) was a war of attrition that was ended by walkoff bomb. Veteran Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval tallied his fifth career walkoff home run when he went yard in the bottom of the 13th, thereby providing the Giants with a 5-4 victory.

As for the Cubs, Kris Bryant led the charge by going 3-for-6 with two RBI and one run scored on offense and showing out in the field by playing three different positions. Bryant plated shortstop Javier Baez on two separate occasions, one of which came when Baez stole both second and third en route to scoring on an RBI base knock off the bat of Bryant.
