by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — Winning the rubber match of a three-game series at Wrigley Field, the Chicago Cubs (2-1) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and led the rest of the way on Sunday. The North Siders defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates (1-2) for the second straight game, winning 4-3 and giving starting pitcher Zach Davies a winning decision in his Cubs debut.

Outfielder Ian Happ went yard for the Cubs. Prior to that, third baseman Kris Bryant plated Happ for the first run of the game via an opposite-field single. Also of note, first baseman Anthony Rizzo showed out on defense for Chicago, doing a split while recording a putout.
