WATCH: Highlights from Cubs' thrilling win over Dodgers

by - Senior Writer -

In an epic turnaround, the Chicago Cubs (12-10) were able to overcome a 3-run deficit to the Los Angeles Dodgers (15-11) with two swings of the bat in the bottom of the sixth on Wednesday. Javier Baez and Jason Heyward each skied a 3-run blast in the sixth frame to put the Cubs ahead 6-3.

The Cubs had quite the knack for coming up with 2-out hits en route to victory, with all seven of their runs coming via three separate 2-out knocks. An RBI double from first baseman Anthony Rizzo that gave the Cubs a 7-3 lead in the seventh inning proved to be the winning hit, as the Dodgers came up just short in the thrilling 7-6 contest.
